About the role#
Point72 is looking for a Quantitative Portfolio Analyst to join the Portfolio Construction and Analytics Team. This team works within the Office of the Chief Investment Officer to analyze the drivers of success for investment professionals. You will use data, models, and analytics to help portfolio managers improve their strategies and assist senior management with capital allocation decisions.
What you'll do#
- Analyze investment strategies to find strengths and weaknesses.
- Partner with portfolio managers to improve idea generation, portfolio construction, and trading.
- Forecast strategy performance to guide capital allocation.
- Create new analytics to quantify skill and build frameworks for evaluating risk and skill trade-offs.
- Quantify market drivers to assist with risk taking and decision making.
- Communicate research findings to the team, portfolio managers, and Co-CIOs.
- Develop and contribute to shared code bases, research tools, and reports.
What you'll need#
- Internship or project experience in quantitative research or portfolio management.
- An expected degree (Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D.) in Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related STEM field, to be conferred in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026.
- Intermediate or advanced proficiency in Python.
- Experience with statistical models and quantitative finance methods.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and project management skills.
- Ability to work productively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to high ethical standards.
