About the role#
As a Machine Learning Researcher Intern, you will work within our Quant Management department to apply, adapt, and extend existing machine learning results. You will also conduct novel research as needed. We focus on areas including predictive modeling, clustering, time series analysis, natural language processing, and computer vision.
What you'll do#
- Manage the full research process from start to finish.
- Select methodologies and collect or analyze data.
- Prototype, implement, and test your models.
- Evaluate the performance of your research.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a PhD program for machine learning, computer science, statistics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Experience conducting independent research with large data sets.
- Proficiency in scientific programming using Python, R, or Matlab.
- An empirical, detail-oriented mindset and a sense of ownership over your projects.
- The ability to work both independently and within a small collaborative team.
- A creative approach to problem-solving and curiosity about financial markets.
