About the role#
This Winter Audit Internship program offers students hands-on experience by working alongside industry specialists. You will assist with authentic audit engagements and gain exposure to public accounting. The program is part-time, paid, and runs for 12 weeks from early January through mid-April.
What you'll do#
- Draft financial statements using prescribed formatting.
- Prepare sections of compilation, review, and audit engagements.
- Assist clients with routine accounting functions.
- Develop a working knowledge of standard microcomputer applications.
- Build knowledge of accounting pronouncements and basic income tax principles.
- Build professional relationships with clients and team members.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least 75% of a bachelor degree in accounting from an accredited university.
- Demonstrated progress toward CPA exam eligibility.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week.
- Willingness to travel locally to client sites at least 80% of the time.
- Access to a car or reliable public transportation.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
