About the role#
We are looking for UX Engineer interns to work between our design and front-end engineering teams. You will partner with product, design, data, and engineering mentors to prototype ideas and validate concepts. Your work will involve contributing to our design system and translating research into polished, performant interfaces. You will handle real projects and ship experiences that are accessible and meaningful for our users.
What you'll do#
- Take ownership of your tasks and project quality.
- Execute technical tasks end-to-end.
- Write code that is well-documented, tested, and operable.
- Bridge the gap between design and engineering teams.
- Share your ideas and opinions with candor.
- Prototype and validate new concepts.
- Help maintain and build our design system.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's degree program in computer science, statistics, psychology, sociology, applied sciences, or a related field.
- Expected graduation with your Master's degree by 2027.
- Previous experience through software engineering internships.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as JavaScript, CSS, C++, HTML, Python, Java, or Go.
- A strong interest in solving user-experience problems.
- A willingness to learn from your experiences.

- Location: San Francisco, California.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid, with 1-2 days per week in the office for collaboration.
- Compensation: $8,250 - $11,000 per month.
- Employment type: Full-time paid internship.
