About the role#
We are looking for Data Science interns to help shape our product. You will work with engineering and product teams to analyze user behavior, understand advertiser value, and evaluate product changes. You will use quantitative analysis, statistical modeling, and data mining to turn insights into real-world products.
What you'll do#
- Influence the product roadmap using exploratory data analysis.
- Design and implement core metrics to guide team efforts.
- Design and evaluate A/B experiments and explore new experimentation techniques.
- Use survey methodologies and statistical modeling to gather signals about user, merchant, and creator preferences.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers, and researchers to communicate key insights.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a PhD in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or a related field.
- Ability to manipulate large, complex data sets.
- Fluency in SQL and Python or R.
- Experience solving analytical problems in machine learning, forecasting, econometrics, or statistical modeling.
- Strong critical thinking when using AI-generated suggestions.
- Ability to connect data analysis to business problems and communicate findings to technical and non-technical partners.

- This is a 12-week paid internship for Summer 2027.
- Start dates are May 17, 2027, or June 14, 2027.
- Positions are available in San Francisco, Palo Alto, Seattle, and New York.
- Work modality includes remote and hybrid options.
