About the role#
The Cyber Security Intern will support the security team at Perseus Group, an operating group of Constellation Software. This role focuses on monitoring security infrastructure, managing risk, and assisting with compliance activities. This is a paid, full-time, remote position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential security incidents.
- Support vulnerability scanning and document findings and remediation efforts.
- Participate in security assessments, audits, and compliance activities.
- Assist with user access reviews and identity and access management processes.
- Use data analysis, statistical models, and historical information to develop risk exposure and management strategies.
- Help develop internal processes and methodologies for risk assessment and monitoring.
- Perform additional cyber security projects and tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Cybersecurity (or an international equivalent).
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to communicate information effectively to diverse audiences.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- A genuine interest in gaining deeper knowledge of the cybersecurity field.
