Cyber Security Intern

About the role#

Perseus Group is seeking a Cyber Security Intern to join our team. This is a full-time, paid, remote position based in the United States. We are looking for individuals with a genuine interest in the cybersecurity field who are eager to gain practical experience through a variety of security-focused projects.

What you'll do#

• Monitor security alerts and investigate potential security incidents.
• Support vulnerability scanning and document findings and remediation efforts.
• Participate in security assessments, audits, and compliance activities.
• Assist with user access reviews and identity and access management processes.
• Use data analysis, statistical models, and historical information to support risk management strategies.
• Help develop internal processes and methodologies for risk assessment and monitoring.
• Perform other cybersecurity-related tasks and projects as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Cybersecurity (or an international equivalent).
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information effectively.
• A strong interest in gaining deeper knowledge of the cybersecurity field.
• Relevant certifications will be considered.

• Employment type: Full-time.
• Term: Rolling.
• Compensation: $27.00 - $33.00 per hour.
