About the role#
This internship position reports to a Systems Engineering Team Lead. You will work alongside Systems Engineers and other technical teams to maintain and improve internal systems, DevOps workflows, and infrastructure. This role offers hands-on experience with Linux environments, automation tools, monitoring solutions, and application deployment processes. Depending on your interests and business needs, you may explore areas like system administration, scripting, or cloud technologies.
What you'll do#
- Research, maintain, and support enterprise systems and technical workflows.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and validate system changes or enhancements.
- Support system monitoring, application deployment, and configuration management.
- Contribute to scripting and automation efforts to improve team efficiency.
- Maintain and document DevOps workflows, system procedures, and technical processes.
- Perform quality testing and validation for infrastructure and automation tasks.
- Review and prioritize assigned tasks and change requests with team guidance.
- Manage information within Confluence and other team management tools.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- High School diploma or equivalency.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command line environments.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with Object Oriented concepts and languages, preferably Java and its frameworks.
- Understanding of DevOps concepts, source control, and CI/CD processes.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, relational databases, and cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.

Location & details#
- Term: Summer 2027 (May - August).
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
- Modality: Hybrid. You must work from an office location at least 3 days per week, with the option to work up to 5 days.
- Locations: Mandan, ND or Lake Saint Louis, MO.
