About the role#
NISC is hiring a Quality Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site. You will work on real projects that support energy cooperatives and communication organizations across North America.
What you'll do#
- Perform basic testing tasks to verify that software changes meet design specifications.
- Research, test, and document the results of testing scenarios.
- Write release notes and documentation for new system enhancements.
- Join design teams to learn about upcoming product improvements.
- Review system documentation and suggest edits or improvements.
- Handle other duties as assigned by the team.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- You are an analytical problem solver with strong attention to detail.
- You are self-driven and have a desire to grow your technical knowledge.
- You are comfortable with change and enjoy working in a busy environment.
- You have excellent communication skills for phone and email interactions with members and customers.
Location & details#
- This role is located in either Lake St. Louis, Missouri, or Mandan, North Dakota.
- The position is on-site and full-time during the summer months.
- Sponsorship is not available for this position.
