About the role#
The Software Developer Intern will work within a Scrum team to develop high-performing, resilient, and manageable web-based ERP software for the homebuilding industry. Reporting to the Solutions Architect, you will utilize AI-assisted development tools throughout the software development lifecycle to build new product modules and improve development processes.
What you'll do#
- Study and understand the application functionality, workflow, and design.
- Build new product modules end-to-end using AI-assisted development tools.
- Set up, test, and maintain MCP servers and connectors that power AI-assisted development, including configuration and documentation.
- Expand automated test coverage, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using Playwright, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Author and refine reusable AI context, such as rules files, prompts, and agentic workflows.
- Evaluate the quality and reliability of AI-assisted output against real coding tasks and provide recommendations for scaling automation across the team.
What you'll need#
- Ability to work on-site from the Markham, Ontario office.
- Current enrollment or degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Hands-on experience in full-stack development, including HTML5, TypeScript, JavaScript.NET, and SQL.
- Experience building multi-tier, distributed web solutions with an emphasis on Responsive Design.
- Understanding of software requirements, the software development lifecycle, and Object-Oriented Design.
- Knowledge of development best practices in a multi-developer team using Git, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development and writing unit or integration tests.
- Familiarity with AI coding assistants, prompt engineering, test automation frameworks like Playwright, and Azure DevOps is considered an asset.

- Compensation: CAD$22.50 to CAD$27.50 per hour.
