About the role#
Performance Contracting, Inc. (PCI) is hiring for an Associate Project Engineer Internship during the Summer 2027 term. This program provides students with hands-on experience in the specialty construction industry. You will work alongside a dedicated mentor and complete a structured activities checklist to build a foundation in construction management. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Write detailed proposals and conduct bid analysis.
- Assist with quantity take-offs.
- Maintain project documentation and correspondence.
- Learn the management processes for project labor control, material handling, and job-cost analysis.
- Administer the corporate safety program to ensure site safety.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Ability to read and interpret construction specifications and drawings.
- Baseline construction knowledge from work experience or your academic curriculum.
- Willingness to temporarily relocate for the assignment.
