About the role#
Performance Contracting, Inc. (PCI) is seeking undergraduate students for a full-time Associate Project Engineer internship during the summer of 2027. This on-site program provides hands-on experience in the specialty construction industry. You will be paired with a mentor and follow a structured activity checklist to gain exposure to daily operations. Interns receive an evaluation upon completion, which is considered for future employment opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Write detailed proposals and prepare bid analysis.
- Manage project labor control, material handling, and job-cost analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs.
- Maintain accurate and timely project documentation and correspondence.
- Administer the corporate safety program to ensure job site safety.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or a comparable field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
- Reliable source of transportation.
- Willingness to temporarily relocate for the assignment.
