About the role#
Performance Contracting, Inc. (PCI) is seeking undergraduate students for a full-time Associate Project Engineer internship during the summer of 2027. This program offers hands-on experience in the specialty construction industry through a structured mentorship framework. Interns will work on-site in Raleigh, North Carolina, and receive an hourly wage of $22.00. Please note that this position does not offer visa sponsorship.
What you'll do#
- Write detailed project proposals.
- Prepare and review bid analysis.
- Demonstrate project scheduling techniques.
- Manage labor control, material handling, and job-cost analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
- Baseline construction knowledge gained through relevant work experience or the completion of a second-year curriculum.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
