About the role#
GHD is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Engineering Design Organization for Summer 2027. You will work alongside engineers and project managers on projects involving water distribution, sewer collection, pumping stations, roadways, and stormwater systems. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Research code and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate design options and component specifications while documenting your findings.
- Assist with CADD drawings.
- Perform analysis and design retrofits for new and existing facilities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program for Civil Engineering.
- A solid understanding of engineering fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and determine priorities.
- An interest in applying theory in a practical setting.
- Preference is given to students involved in professional organizations.
Location & details#
- Location: Buffalo, New York.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (three days per week in the office).
- Compensation: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour based on experience.
