About the role#
Performance Contracting, Inc. is hiring undergraduate students for a full-time Associate Project Engineer internship during the summer of 2027. This program offers hands-on experience in specialty construction through mentorship and a structured activity framework. Interns work directly with project teams to gain insight into daily operations and construction management.
What you'll do#
- Write detailed proposals and perform bid analysis and reviews.
- Assist with quantity take-offs.
- Maintain project documentation and correspondence.
- Manage subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
- Learn the processes for project labor control, material handling, and job-cost analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student in Construction Management, Construction Science, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
- A reliable source of transportation.
- Willingness to temporarily relocate for the assignment.
