About the role#
Wade Trim is hiring an Engineering Summer Intern for the Water Resources group in Taylor, Michigan. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Summer 2027 term. You will work in a hybrid capacity, collaborating with our Planning, Design, and Hydraulic and Hydrology departments.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine calculations under the guidance of a senior engineer.
- Obtain project drawings from local municipalities.
- Analyze continuous flow and rainfall data.
- Assist engineers in developing spreadsheet tools.
- Copy and scan project-related drawings.
- Work with project managers and engineers to support daily operations.
- Communicate with staff and clients to maintain project standards.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong organizational skills and a self-motivated approach.
- Clear communication skills to work effectively with the team.
- Familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or Revit is a plus.
