About the role#
This is a 10 to 12 week internship based in Perry, Georgia. You will join the maintenance team to gain hands-on experience in a food manufacturing environment. You will work alongside maintenance and operations staff on projects focused on equipment performance, reliability, and continuous improvement. This role is on-site and full-time.
What you'll do#
- Track and report Repair and Maintenance spending to find cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyze downtime to identify performance trends and capacity improvements.
- Participate in root cause analysis to address equipment failures and suggest corrective actions.
- Review and update preventative maintenance schedules in the CMMS.
- Scrub CMMS data to ensure maintenance records are accurate and complete.
- Analyze data from predictive maintenance technology.
- Collaborate with plant operations and maintenance teams on reliability projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited 2 to 4 year college or technical school program.
- A program of study in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Reliability Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with mechanical or electrical systems, reliability tools, or maintenance practices.
Location & details#
- Location: Perry, Georgia.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- This position involves working on the plant floor, which includes exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and wet or moist surfaces. You will be required to wear and use safety equipment as directed.
