About the role#
As an Operations Intern at Perdue Farms, you will gain hands-on experience within an operational facility. You will work alongside experienced professionals and contribute to daily business activities. This role bridges classroom learning with practical application in a food manufacturing environment. You will rotate through various functions in fresh or cook plants to understand how operations drive business success.
What you'll do#
- Assist Team Leaders and Shift Leaders with daily tasks, including training and providing work direction to subordinates.
- Support production staff to ensure product quality and integrity.
- Verify that all finished products meet or exceed customer requirements.
- Help maintain an environment that supports associate retention.
- Consistently administer company policies and procedures.
- Rotate through departments such as Live Haul, Wastewater, Accounting, Human Resources, Receiving, Dressing, Evisceration, Giblet Packing, Grading, Cut Up, Deboning, and Shipping.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited four-year institution pursuing a bachelor's degree.
- A major in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Production Management, Business, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Agriculture, or Occupational Safety and Environmental Health.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate others.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.

- This position is located in Cromwell, Kentucky.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- This is a paid internship with a rolling term.
