About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience within an operational facility. You will work alongside professionals, shadow various teams, and contribute to daily business activities. The role is designed to connect classroom learning with practical plant operations.
What you'll do#
- Support Team Leaders and Shift Leaders with training, work direction, and staff development.
- Monitor production to ensure product quality and integrity.
- Verify that finished products meet customer requirements.
- Help maintain an environment that supports associate retention.
- Administer company policies and procedures.
- Rotate through various functions in fresh or cook plants, including areas like Live Haul, Human Resources, Deboning, and Shipping.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited four-year institution.
- A major in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Production Management, Business, Animal Science, Poultry Science, Agriculture, or Occupational Safety and Environmental Health.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate others.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Lewiston, North Carolina.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
