About the role#
As a Live Operations Intern, you will gain hands-on experience within our live production business. This role connects your classroom studies to real-world applications by offering exposure to the entire workflow. You will shadow experienced professionals across multiple departments and contribute to daily operations. This internship provides an opportunity to build industry knowledge and develop practical skills.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through hatchery, feed mill, grow out, breeder, and harvest facilities.
- Learn about production processes, animal husbandry, and technical skills.
- Manage a project to improve live performance or address a specific business need at your location.
- Complete weekly assessments to track your progress.
- Participate in learning events to develop soft skills and understand the business.
- Perform operational duties as needed within your assigned unit.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited four-year bachelor's degree program.
- A major in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, Agribusiness Management, or Business Administration.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate others.
- A valid state driver's license and approval to drive a company vehicle.
