About the role#
Join our maintenance team in Concord, North Carolina, for a hands-on internship focused on plant operations. You will spend 10 to 12 weeks working alongside maintenance and operations staff on projects that support equipment performance and reliability. This role provides direct exposure to preventive maintenance systems, downtime reduction, and reliability optimization while you apply your academic knowledge to real business challenges.
What you'll do#
- Track and report Repair & Maintenance spending to identify cost savings.
- Analyze downtime to determine performance trends and capacity improvement opportunities.
- Participate in root cause analysis to address equipment failures.
- Optimize preventative maintenance by reviewing and updating schedules in EAM/CMMS.
- Assist with CMMS data scrubbing to ensure accurate maintenance records.
- Analyze data from predictive maintenance technology to identify potential failures.
- Collaborate with plant teams on reliability projects to improve equipment uptime.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited 2 to 4-year college or technical program.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Studies in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, Reliability Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with mechanical or electrical systems or maintenance practices.

- Location: Concord, NC.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- This is a paid, full-time internship. Please note that the work environment involves the plant floor, which includes exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and noise levels. You must be able to move throughout the facility and wear required safety equipment.
