About the role#
Perchwell is looking for a Software Engineering Intern to join our team for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, 10-week, in-person internship based at our office in New York City. You will work on-site five days a week, collaborating directly with our engineers, product managers, and designers. You will be paired with an experienced engineer who will provide mentorship throughout the summer.
What you'll do#
- Build high-quality SaaS products used by real estate professionals.
- Lead an individual project from start to finish, making key architecture and implementation decisions.
- Contribute to real features and bug fixes within a structured development lifecycle.
- Work on scalable solutions to address complex problems.
- Present your project outcomes to our executive and engineering teams at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising senior enrolled in a Computer Science or STEM degree program.
- You have a strong interest in web applications, covering everything from the data layer to the front end.
- You have working familiarity with RDBMS storage systems and SQL.
- You have experience with web application frameworks, specifically Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, or React.
- You are a clear communicator and a team player who works well cross-functionally.
- You are a problem solver who is eager to learn and grow.
- Bonus points if you have specific experience with Ruby on Rails and React, or have demonstrated leadership skills during your college career.

- Location: New York, New York, USA.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7 to August 13).
- Work Modality: On-site, full-time.
- Compensation: $12,000 for the 10-week program.
