About the role#
Perchwell is expanding across the United States, and every new MLS client introduces a data source we have not worked with before. Our Data Analytics Engineering team is responsible for understanding this data, transforming it into our warehouse, and building the intelligence layer that sits on top. As an intern, you will work alongside our analytics and data engineers to support our current and future customers.
What you'll do#
- Profile data ingested for new clients and work with the engineering team to identify patterns for onboarding.
- Extend dbt models that transform raw MLS data into our warehouse, including adding tests and documentation.
- Strengthen the intelligence layer by working on metric definitions, semantic models, and dashboards used by internal teams and customers.
- Own a summer project where you will make key modeling, tooling, and implementation decisions.
- Partner with analytics engineers, data engineers, product managers, and customer-facing teams to turn questions into actionable answers.
- Contribute to models, tests, and dashboards that run in production against live customer data.
What you'll need#
- You are a rising senior enrolled in a Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related STEM degree program.
- Working familiarity with RDBMS storage systems and SQL, including joins, aggregations, and CTEs.
- Strong attention to detail and an instinct for identifying when data does not add up.
- Curiosity regarding data origins and what the information represents.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A genuine excitement to learn, grow, and build.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, on-site internship based at our office in New York, New York.
- The term runs for 10 weeks during Summer 2027, specifically from June 7 to August 13.
- This position is paid.
