About the role#
Blue Ridge Cable 11 is seeking a motivated intern to assist with promoting sports and live programming. This role focuses on creating engaging posts, videos, and graphics to increase viewership for company productions. This is a paid, part-time position requiring approximately 25 hours per week, with a set shift on Fridays from 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM and variable hours Monday through Thursday.
What you'll do#
- Update promotional templates for sports productions.
- Manage daily posting on Twitter/X, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Publish approved sports stories to YouTube.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, or Communications.
- Established residency in Pennsylvania.
- Valid PA Driver's License and a good driving record.
- Strong background in media communications, copywriting, and visual design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere and Photoshop.
- Understanding of social media platforms including YouTube, Twitter/X, and Meta, along with scheduling tools.
- Ability to work independently on projects and present work to the Social Media Manager.
- Flexibility to work between PC and Mac workstations.
- Creativity and strong attention to detail.
