About the role#
This paid internship offers students practical experience in broadcast and digital marketing and sales at FOX44/WFFF-TV and ABC22/WVNY-TV. You will work directly with Marketing Consultants, Sales Managers, and the General Manager to learn how marketing campaigns are built and managed. This position is part of the New York State Broadcasters Association program for the Fall 2026 semester.
What you'll do#
- Construct marketing campaigns and identify client needs and budgets.
- Determine which marketing channels best reach targeted audiences.
- Set and manage client expectations throughout the campaign process.
- Report on campaign performance to ensure success.
- Follow all safety rules and company procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding company data, trade secrets, and customer information.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 17 years old.
- You must be a resident of New York State or attend a school in New York State.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to research marketing prospects online and learn new research software.
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn.
- Previous internship experience is considered a plus.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site in Colchester, Vermont.
- The internship runs during the fall semester for 2 to 4 days per week, not to exceed 180 hours total.
- This is a paid position at $15.50 per hour.
- You are responsible for your own transportation.
