About the role#
This is a paid, part-time internship for Summer 2026 based at Blue Ridge TV-13. The role involves promoting news, sports, and live programming through social media channels. You will work approximately 25 hours per week, with shifts scheduled Monday through Thursday from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM and Fridays from 4:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
What you'll do#
- Update promotional templates for news and sports productions.
- Manage daily posting on Twitter/X, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Publish approved news and sports stories to YouTube.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Work independently on projects and present them to the Social Media Manager for review.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Digital Marketing, Social Media Management, or Communications.
- Established residency in Pennsylvania.
- Valid PA Driver's License and a good driving record.
- Strong background in media communications, copywriting, and visual design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere and Photoshop.
- Understanding of social media platforms including YouTube, Twitter/X, and Meta, as well as scheduling tools.
- Ability to work flexibly between PC and Mac workstations.
- Creativity and strong attention to detail.
