About the role#
We are hiring a Midday Dog Walker to join our team in Alexandria. This is a part-time, supplemental income position that allows you to spend your day outdoors with local pets. You will work on a rolling basis and are expected to commit to at least 6 months in the role.
What you'll do#
- Visit client homes to spend time with their pets.
- Walk pets as requested.
- Feed pets according to instructions.
- Check water supplies and refill them as needed.
- Clean up any accidents or damage found in the home.
- Communicate regularly with management.
What you'll need#
- Availability for at least 2 consecutive hours between 10 AM and 3 PM, Monday through Friday.
- A reliable personal vehicle for travel between appointments.
- A smartphone with an active data plan and internet access.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Comfort interacting with both small and large animals.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Residence within 5 miles of 22301 is preferred.
- A background in Biology is welcome but not required.
Location & details#
- The position is based in Alexandria, Virginia.
- This is an on-site, part-time role.
- Compensation is $24 to $28 per hour plus tips, paid per visit.
