About the role#
This 13-week summer internship provides hands-on experience across the Design, Production, Customer Service, and Sales departments. You will work with a mentor to build your professional skills and learn the fundamentals of our business. The program includes a corporate office visit in Lake Forest, Illinois, to meet with leadership and network with other interns. Successful completion of the program may lead to an offer for a full-time position in our rotational sales development program after graduation.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with a mentor to guide your professional development.
- Complete special projects to support Design, Customer Service, Production, and Sales functions.
- Learn the PCA business model, our industry, and the sales process.
- Develop core sales skills including communication, time management, problem-solving, and networking.
- Manage customer inquiries, follow up on leads, and assist with complaint resolution.
- Build a prospect list and accompany experienced Sales Representatives on customer visits.
- Deliver a final project presentation to management and fellow interns.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related discipline.
- Completion of your freshman year of college.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0.
- Eligibility to work in the US on a full-time basis.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects or customer inquiries at once.
- Willingness to travel.
- A high level of professionalism and maturity when engaging with team members and customers.
Location & details#
- Location: Plano, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid position with a pay range of $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on academic year.
