GC Construction Services Intern

About the role#

The GC Construction Services Intern will support the Gas Construction Services team in ensuring safe and reliable natural gas operations. This role focuses on preparing documentation for construction and improvement projects within gas transmission and distribution systems. You will work alongside experienced Superintendents and Managers to support initiatives related to spoils operations, field assessment reviews, traffic control, and paving operations.

What you'll do#

• Prepare project documentation for gas transmission and distribution construction.
• Gather and analyze data using enterprise project system tools.
• Perform data entry and assist with reporting tasks.
• Coordinate with contractors and construction managers.
• Observe construction and spoils operations in the field.
• Support compliance with internal procedures and processes.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Business Administration, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, with plans to return to school in the fall.
• A minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0.
• A valid driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one at least 30 days prior to the start date.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• EIT or FE certification is preferred.

• Compensation: This is a paid internship. Hourly rates are $20.88 for bachelor’s students and $35.37 for master’s students.
