About the role#
Pace University is hiring a Student Researcher to assist with projects focused on immersive telepresence and human-robot interaction. You will work under faculty supervision to support ongoing studies and technical development.
What you'll do#
- Set up and calibrate hardware, specifically the Sense Glove R1 and Shadow Hand.
- Support data collection for a user study exploring the sense of agency in co-embodiment scenarios.
- Contribute to software integration and testing using ROS 2.
- Document experimental procedures and research results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Graduate student in Computer Science.
- Familiarity with hardware-software integration.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- An interest in human-robot interaction or haptics research.
- Experience with Python or ROS is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, NY.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Up to 20 hours per week during the semester, up to 35 hours per week during breaks.
- This is a paid position.
