About the role#
Pace University is hiring a Student Assistant for Enrollment Operations. This role provides administrative support to the department through clerical tasks, phone coverage, and visitor assistance. This is a paid, part-time position open to students majoring in Business Administration or Communications.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and answer questions about department procedures.
- Manage a high volume of phone calls and take detailed messages for staff.
- Handle general clerical tasks including filing, scanning, photocopying, shredding, and sending emails.
- Use the Slate CRM system to search for, create, or modify student records.
- Assist with various department projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential information discreetly.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A reliable and patient approach when working with visitors.
- Strong organizational and customer service skills.
- Previous office experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, NY.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Maximum of 20 hours per week during the semester and up to 35 hours per week during breaks. Specific hours are determined with your supervisor.
