About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Aurora, Illinois. You will work on-site within our food manufacturing environment to gain experience in product development and laboratory operations. Your work will be project-based and tailored to current business needs. At the end of the term, you will present your findings to our corporate management team.
What you'll do#
- Assist the team with food product formulation, from bench top to production runs.
- Help prepare for customer presentations and plant trials, including setup and cleanup.
- Manage day-to-day laboratory and plant needs, such as stocking and ordering materials.
- Develop skills in food safety, product design, and cost improvement.
- Learn how to transform concepts into manufactured products using current processing equipment.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one year in a Culinary Arts program.
- A BS in Food Science or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to consume and ingest protein products.
- No food allergies.
- Ability to stand at a bench for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry ingredients.
