About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will assist the Manufacturing Engineering department in meeting production goals and continuous improvement efforts. You will be encouraged to contribute your own ideas and suggestions as you work alongside production personnel. This is a full-time, on-site role based in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania.
What you'll do#
- Audit and update work instructions, routings, and bills of materials.
- Perform time studies and workstation analyses to improve productivity and quality.
- Develop methods for fabrication and machining processes.
- Improve material handling methods.
- Provide technical support to production staff.
- Assist with plant layout and workstation design.
- Provide input for manufacturing fixtures and tooling.
- Learn and use ERP manufacturing software.
- Create documentation for new product launches.
What you'll need#
- Current student working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, or a related Engineering field.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel and OneNote.
- Experience with CREO 3D Modeling or AutoCAD is a plus.

- Working Conditions: This role involves a mix of office-based tasks and time spent on the shop floor. You may need to walk across shop floors, stand, climb stairs, or lift up to 50 pounds. You will work in environments with varying noise levels and temperatures.
