About the role#
As a Trading Automation and Operations Intern, you will work on our trading floor to enhance systematic trading strategies and solve operational challenges. Over ten weeks, you will build automation, investigate production issues, and improve the systems that support our market-making business. You will take ownership of business problems while receiving guidance from experienced mentors.
What you'll do#
- Develop an understanding of financial markets and the systems that support our trading business.
- Build tools, automated workflows, and data pipelines that traders use daily.
- Identify opportunities to simplify manual processes and reduce operational friction.
- Use AI-native workflows to investigate problems and develop solutions.
- Collaborate with traders, researchers, and engineers to deliver practical solutions.
- Manage a project from problem definition through implementation.
What you'll need#
- Working toward a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in a STEM field.
- Junior standing or higher, with a graduation date of Winter 2027 or Spring 2028.
- Proficiency with a programming language, preferably Python.
- Analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in an accurate and structured way.
- Capacity to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (sponsorship is not provided).
