About the role#
As an intern in the Real Estate Group, you will support the investment and asset management activities of our global portfolio. You will work directly with senior team members in our Dallas office to analyze new investments, track performance, and coordinate initiatives across our global strategy. This role offers exposure to investment management through various workstreams within a portfolio of approximately C$30 billion.
What you'll do#
- Support portfolio-wide initiatives and specific projects to execute our global strategy.
- Evaluate new investment opportunities.
- Prepare presentations and reports for senior management.
- Manage asset management tasks including budget tracking, annual and semi-annual valuations, and capital needs projections.
- Review, build, and use financial modeling tools to analyze investments.
- Conduct research and analysis for strategic projects.
- Support periodic portfolio reporting and key performance indicator analytics.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate program (2nd through 4th year) in business, finance, accounting, economics, or real estate.
- A strong academic track record.
- A working knowledge of fundamental investment and valuation analysis.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
- Strong time-management skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Experience with ARGUS is an asset.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to work in a team-based environment.
