About the role#
This is an 8-month internship within the Business Insights and Analytics team at Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. You will work with managers to extract and present data that supports member services. You will choose from various projects to tackle business questions using technical and analytical methods. This role involves working across departments such as Communications, the Contact Centre, and IT.
What you'll do#
- Develop processes to gain insights into client segments, including their needs and behaviors.
- Automate existing and new workflows using Python, APIs, and other software.
- Use Business Intelligence tools to collect and analyze data for informed decision-making.
- Support multi-channel tracking across web, telephone, and email platforms.
- Work on cross-functional teams to deliver corporate scorecard initiatives.
- Provide monthly reporting on key performance indicators and statistics.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a university degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- Enrollment in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of study, or a Master's program.
- Intermediate coding experience in any language, such as Python, SQL, SAS, or SPSS.
- Ability to learn new programming languages and software tools quickly.
- Strong skills in data manipulation, research, and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
