About the role#
This internship offers an immersive experience within the Due Diligence & Advisory (DDA) group. You will gain exposure to the investment lifecycle of hedge funds and private equity funds while working alongside professionals with backgrounds in audit, risk, accounting, and investment operations. You will interact with the Investment, Financial Operations, Tax, and Legal teams in our Toronto office.
What you'll do#
- Assist the team with the preparation and documentation of external manager and service provider due diligence.
- Update internal systems with key information and findings from ongoing due diligence activities.
- Help prepare monthly reports for the Chief Financial Officer and materials for oversight committee presentations.
- Ensure deal tracking tools are accurately maintained and monitoring activities are completed on schedule.
- Provide administrative support and filing as required.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a relevant university degree, specifically entering your 3rd year of a business program with a finance focus.
- Strong interest in the asset management industry and investment products.
- Proficiency in MS Office products, CRM tools, and AI tools like Copilot for task automation.
- High attention to detail and the ability to multi-task while maintaining a high work standard.
- Strong priority setting and time management skills.
- Interest in or progress toward the CFA or CAIA designation is desired.
- You must be enrolled in a co-op program or returning to studies after the work term.

- This is a full-time, paid internship with an expected hourly range of $24 to $28.
