About the role#
NXP is seeking an undergraduate intern to support the Front End Operations organization at the Austin Manufacturing and Technology Center. You will work within the Etch engineering team to help improve manufacturing performance.
What you'll do#
- Work with Equipment Engineering to optimize MTBF, MTTR, capacity, cycle time, quality, and equipment efficiency.
- Participate in fab-to-fab standardization and tool-to-tool matching activities.
- Contribute to cost reduction, defect reduction, and throughput improvement projects.
- Develop data analysis skills to track metrics and meet department goals.
- Take ownership of one high-business impact project, including research, analysis, and a final presentation to fab leadership.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and data analysis skills.
- Solid knowledge of SPC for troubleshooting and process improvements.
- Aptitude and desire to learn new skills.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Must be returning to school or graduating at the conclusion of the internship term.
