About the role#
FP Movement is looking for an Apparel Design Intern to join our team for the summer. You will assist in the design and development of seasonal collections, from the initial concept through to the final sample. You will work alongside designers and cross-functional partners to gain hands-on experience in the creative process.
What you'll do#
- Assist in creating mood boards, color palettes, and seasonal concept presentations.
- Support the design team with sketching, CADs, and technical packages.
- Help source fabrics, trims, and inspiration materials for upcoming collections.
- Organize and maintain sample libraries, swatch books, and design archives.
- Participate in fittings, design reviews, and meetings with buying and production teams.
- Conduct trend and market research to support design direction.
- Assist in preparing line sheets, spec sheets, and internal presentation materials.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Experience with CLO 3D or similar software.
- Excellent sketching and visual communication skills.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- A collaborative and curious mindset with a desire to learn.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- The program runs from June 7, 2027, through August 13, 2027.
- This role is on-site at our Home Office.
