About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Maintenance Engineering internship based in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role is for the Winter 2027 term and requires working on-site. You will support the development and integration of maintenance programs across various sites. The position involves travel to operational locations to perform equipment inspections, verify field data, and help roll out program improvements. You must have reliable transportation to manage these travel requirements and be prepared to work in an industrial environment, including outdoors in extreme weather.
What you'll do#
- Catalog equipment assets and build preventive maintenance tasks.
- Enter data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Collaborate with site teams to collect equipment specifications, operational details, and maintenance needs.
- Document your findings using Excel and related software.
- Lead select improvement initiatives or pilot program rollouts if you complete multiple internship sessions.
- Uphold safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelors or technical degree program focused on Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with CMMS platforms.
- Strong skills in MS Excel, CAD, and data analytics.
- Ability to build relationships and work efficiently with team members.
- Familiarity with facility layout tools is a plus, as is a strong interest in maintenance systems.
