About the role#
The Respiratory Extern Graduate works as part of a multidisciplinary team at Northside Hospital. You will assist with patient care services under the direction and supervision of a licensed respiratory care professional. This role supports the delivery of respiratory care while you gain clinical experience.
What you'll do#
- Assist with assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care services.
- Perform airway clearance, suctioning, and nebulizer therapies.
- Set up and adjust supplemental oxygen therapies and incentive spirometry.
- Handle remote monitoring duties.
- Participate in patient education and the discharge planning process.
- Help manage the clinical environment, including equipment and supply stocking, cleaning, and set-up.
- Support departmental and organizational goals while maintaining professional development.
What you'll need#
- An Associate degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited school.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
Location & details#
- Location: Atlanta, Georgia.
- Work hours: 7 AM to 7:30 PM.
- Weekend requirements: Rotating basis.
- Status: Full-time, paid position.
