About the role#
The Respiratory Extern Graduate works as part of a multidisciplinary team at Northside Hospital in Duluth. You will assist with assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care services. This role operates under the direction and supervision of a licensed respiratory care professional.
What you'll do#
- Perform airway clearance, suctioning, and nebulizer therapies.
- Set up and adjust supplemental oxygen therapies, incentive spirometry, and remote monitoring equipment.
- Help manage the clinical environment, including stocking, cleaning, and setting up supplies.
- Participate in patient education and the discharge planning process.
- Support the achievement of departmental and organizational goals.
- Maintain your professional development.
What you'll need#
- An Associate degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited school.
- A current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
Location & details#
- Location: Duluth, Georgia.
- Schedule: 7p-7a shift.
- Weekend requirements: Rotating basis.
- Employment type: Full-time, paid position.
