About the role#
Northrop Grumman is hiring Hardware Electronics Engineer interns for the summer of 2027. You will join the Multidomain Sensing, Targeting and Survivability Division in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. This role involves working on systems related to navigation, targeting, and self-protection.
What you'll do#
- Research, design, develop, and test electronic equipment and systems.
- Create circuitry components, sensors, antennas, transmitters, and receivers.
- Work with both analog and digital computers.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- You must be enrolled as a full-time student for the Fall 2027 semester.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
- Helpful coursework includes Analog and Digital Electronics, Power Electronics, RF, PCB, CCA, EMI/EMC testing, HDL, Power Amplifiers, MATLAB, and DC/DC or AC/DC converters.
- Experience leading small teams and solving complex technical problems.
- Strong communication skills.

- This position is based on-site in Rolling Meadows, Illinois.
- This is a paid, full-time internship.
- A current or active U.S. Government Secret clearance is preferred.
