About the role#
This is a full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Painted Post, New York. You will work within the Manufacturing, Technology and Engineering division. The role involves working both independently and in cross-functional teams to support the design, engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems.
What you'll do#
- Create or document design parameters for electrical systems.
- Design electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, and short circuit studies.
- Create and manage ARC Flash models.
- Oversee project documentation.
- Participate in the full lifecycle of electrical projects, from initial design through to startup and handover.
- Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) of electrical equipment.
What you'll need#
- You must be a junior or higher in a bachelor’s Electrical Engineering program.
- Ability to travel domestically as required by project scope.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with ARC Flash modeling.
- Prior industrial or internship experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in project management.
- A methodical and organized approach to tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment across different cultures and work groups.
- Maturity and common sense in a professional setting.

- Compensation: $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly, depending on location, position, and year in school.
