    About the role#

    This co-op position involves working in a mechanical build lab to support the development of new telecommunication products. You will be responsible for the organization of raw materials and finished goods while ensuring the build area remains orderly. The role requires a focus on hands-on assembly and quality control.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform mechanical assembly of telecommunication products.
    • Install heat-sinks, faceplates, and cables onto printed circuit boards.
    • Mount printed circuit boards into mechanical assemblies.
    • Inspect finished units to ensure they meet quality standards and make adjustments where necessary.
    • Deliver completed assemblies to the test team and provide feedback on potential improvements.
    • Maintain an inventory of raw materials and completed assemblies.
    • Assist in the general maintenance and organization of the mechanical build lab.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree or diploma program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Strong hands-on skills with hand tools and battery-operated tools.
    • Proficiency in mechanical assembly tasks.
    • Clear communication skills and the ability to express ideas and ask questions effectively.

    • Location: Ontario, Canada.
    • Modality: On-site and hybrid options available.
    • Term: Winter 2027 (January 4 to April 16, 2027).
    • Employment type: Full-time, paid internship.
