    About the role#

    This internship provides hands-on experience working with youth in school settings as part of the STAR team. You will gain insight into the communities and clients served by the agency by observing various therapeutic areas. This is a paid, full-time position for students currently enrolled in a graduate program.

    What you'll do#

    • Work with outpatient mental health clients in the community, office, or school settings.
    • Engage with youth to perform assessments and observe clinical interventions.
    • Assist with case management duties.
    • Learn to create diagnostic assessments and treatment plans.
    • Interact with caregivers, parents, foster parents, school staff, and other mental health professionals.
    • Manage documentation and paperwork requirements.
    • Travel daily to provide services to youth and families.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a Masters of Social Work or Masters of Clinical Counseling program at an accredited college or university.
    • A requirement from your institution to complete an internship or field placement.
    • Proficiency with computers, tablets, smartphones, and office equipment like printers and fax machines.
    • Experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
    • A valid driver's license and a good driving record.
    • Reliable personal transportation with minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/$300,000 for bodily injury liability.
