About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship for Fall 2026. You will join the team in San Diego to assist with the design and prototype assembly of new RFIC products during the development phase. We look for a collaborative team member who works with a sense of urgency to meet project schedules.
What you'll do#
- Help design the bump, package, and assembly process flow for new products.
- Prepare design documentation and bills of materials for chip fabrication, wafer processes, and component assembly.
- Run Design of Experiments (DoE) to collect characterization data and mitigate technical risks.
- Support failure analysis and resolve problems during development or production.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment in a Bachelor's program (having completed at least 3 years) or an MSME program in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with design tools like AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with DoE methodology and experimental data collection.
- Ability to perform basic data analysis and create plots for technical presentations.
- Basic understanding of robot machinery and manufacturing equipment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on clear documentation.
- Ability to work as a cooperative team member.
