About the role#
This internship focuses on the design, development, and characterization of high-performance RFICs. You will work on products for 5G NR, 6G, and LTE-A cellular handsets. The role supports the full product life cycle, from initial definition through to release. This is a paid, full-time position for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Perform lab measurements and create validation reports comparing results to design expectations.
- Design and build custom hardware and software test benches for product verification.
- Measure, analyze, and document data to ensure adherence to product requirements.
- Assist engineers with simulation and layout of derivative product designs using Cadence.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, having completed at least three years of study.
- MSEE or PhD candidates are preferred.
- Hands-on experience with RF measurement equipment for CMOS RF ICs.
- Knowledge of RF measurements including NF, IP3, IP2, matching using smith charts, and time domain measurements.
- Understanding of analog and RF IC design and layout techniques.
- Strong documentation skills.
- A cooperative approach, a sense of urgency, and an inquisitive nature.
- Experience or interest in AI, machine learning, or scripting is a plus.
