About the role#
This internship focuses on the design, development, and characterization of high-performance RFICs. You will support products throughout their lifecycle, from definition to release. The work supports applications for 5G, 6G, and LTE-A cellular handsets, including LNAs, high-power RF switches, and tunable IC filters.
What you'll do#
- Perform lab measurements and create validation reports that compare results against design expectations.
- Design and build custom hardware and software test benches for product verification.
- Measure, analyze, and document data to ensure adherence to product requirements.
- Assist engineering teams with the simulation and layout of derivative product designs in Cadence.
What you'll need#
- Full-time enrollment in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering, having completed at least three years of study. MSEE or PhD candidates are preferred.
- Hands-on experience with RF measurement equipment for CMOS RF ICs.
- Proficiency with RF measurements including NF, IP3, IP2, Smith charts, and time domain measurements.
- Knowledge of analog and RF IC design and layout techniques.
- Experience with software tools such as Matlab, JMP, Datapower, National Instruments LabView, Cadence, and ADS.
- Strong documentation skills and a cooperative, inquisitive approach to teamwork.
- Experience or interest in AI, machine learning, or scripting is a plus.
