About the role#
This internship is part of the Future Talent Program within the Research and Development Division. You will join the Cellular Pharmacology group in the Quantitative Biosciences Department at our Boston research laboratories. The program lasts 10 to 12 weeks and provides exposure to research projects designed to help you explore your career goals. You will work alongside research scientists to investigate disease mechanisms and help isolate compounds effective against disease targets.
What you'll do#
- Investigate the cellular aspects of in vitro pharmacology efforts across various therapeutic areas.
- Conduct cell-based assays to determine potency.
- Characterize cellular signaling pathways and mechanisms of action.
- Operate liquid handling stations and plate readers.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data independently.
- Troubleshoot experiments as they arise.
- Communicate and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Prior experience with mammalian cell culture and molecular biology.
- Basic knowledge of cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology.
- Proficiency with Windows-based operating systems, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Strong initiative and a desire to learn new science.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.

- Term: Summer 2027 (10-12 weeks between June and August).
