About the role#
This co-op position joins the Bioanalytical Sciences group within the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics department. You will focus on improving bioanalytical PK assay throughput and sensitivity, specifically through the use of microflow liquid chromatography. This role is based at our facility in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
What you'll do#
- Propose and implement new technologies to improve PK assay development.
- Investigate the expanded use of microflow liquid chromatography to increase assay sensitivity.
- Perform literature searches and stay current with developments in the field.
- Communicate and defend your work through oral presentations and written reports.
- Author posters and manuscripts for publication.
- Present findings at external scientific conferences.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a graduate or advanced degree program in Chemistry, Biology, Immunology, Cell Biology, or Biochemistry.
- Minimum of 9 completed credit hours at your current institution.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with mass spectrometry.
- Ability to draft technical reports and scientific presentations.
- Collaborative mindset for working in a team environment.
- Knowledge of GLP/GCP environments and experience with immunoaffinity LCMS workflows for therapeutic proteins is highly desirable.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
